I remember back when my cousin was trying to raise money for the Hebron High School band. They were selling those giant tubs of cookie dough. It was a hot Saturday over by Old Town Lewisville, and the delivery truck was late. By the time it got there, half the dough was soft. We were all standing in a parking lot near Main Street, sweating and trying to figure out who bought what. It was a total mess. People were losing their orders, and the paper forms were getting sticky. That is when I realized that High School fundraising should not be this hard. We live in a world with smart phones, so why are we still using soggy paper?

Most folks in Texas are busy. You got parents rushing from Castle Hills to the Toyota Railroad Park for soccer games. They don’t have time to carry around cash or wait for a delivery. If you are a coach or a leader, you are probably tired of chasing people down for money. I’ve seen it happen at every booster club meeting from here to Valley Parkway. The treasurer is always stressed out, and the kids just want to play their sport or do their club stuff.
